Hi,
I am using a Logan GLX1.6 for the past one year and have driven 25,000+ kms covering both highway as well as city. As per as my observation goes, it is more suited for a highway drive compared to the city. I have got an average mileage close to 17 in highway and in the city it varies between 10 to 12 kms/lt. Although, for a 1.6 lts engine 85 BHP is somewhat less but you can get a decent acceleration and speed with proper gear shift.
I have driven considerable distances in the himalayas covering Darjeeling, Gangtok, Peling and Kalimpomg, the max altitute being 7500 ft above sea level. Till now, the performance has been satisfactory. I will definitely try more difficult stretches to test the limits.
To sum it up, the suspension is excellent, it will never let you feel the bad road below. Stability is good, so is the ground clearence. You can never expect good stretches all throughout. Also, you can drive comfortably at 5th gear for long distances due to the gear ratio provided. These things are very important when we go for a highway drive.
But the irritating door noise keep recurring time and again after every highway drive.
I have recently started using Castrol Magnatec and found that the engine has become somewhat smoother with better response.
This is my observation till now. I will post more on this subsequently.
With Regards,
