Problems with clutch

Postby delhiboy on Tue Jul 29, 2008 7:13 pm

Hello,

I have Logan, just four months old and having difficulty with clutch. Clutch is hard, hard enough to get cramps in leg after driving around 60+ kms, do you guys have similar problems because as per dealer there should not be any problem.

Thanks

Hello delhiboy,

Welcome to Logan Club!

The clutch problem you are referring to is universal in all Logans, simply because Logan has a wire based clutch not a hydraulic one. Although lot of other cars too have wire based clucth but Logan seems to have the hardest one.

I talked to representative from Mahindra about this problem but they said its due to cost cutting and will add this problem to list of modifications/upgrade in comingup models.

Lets just wait to discover any alternate from M&M guys.

Thanks,

Hi,

my logan DLE came with the same problem HARD CLUTCH and i tried everything from complaining to Mahindra to installing long pad on clutch pad and showing problem to local mechanic but no solution.
I think the Indian version of Logan have this specific problem because on EU blogs you will not find the topic on it and i was also searching if somebody could install hydraulic clutch in my Logan.
If anybody found the solution in India please tell me also.

Thanks
kultz

Almost everybody facing same problem, no solutions from M&R guys till yet, I have heard that they have launched a new version "New Collection Logan" to replace the old ones with lot of new features.

I will check with service center if they have done smething for clutch in new versions.

My dad has a Logan that is about 1+ years old. He had the same issue (hard clutch) but didn't notice it as he is used to driving ambassador. Now we have a problem and the clutch bed is gone. The dealer is charging us around Rs 20,000/- for fixing it. Is this covered under warranty since it is less than 2 years old?

Thanks for the help.

I think these are covered under warranty but its best to confirm from Mahindra head office because dealer will mostly misguide you.
